For this project, we had the opportunity to furnish a family’s living and dining room with the goal of creating a space that felt modern yet cozy. The homeowners loved their existing grey-toned sofas and wanted to keep them as an anchor, while introducing new pieces and finishes to bring warmth, character, and a sense of flow between the two rooms.

We began by working with a palette of neutral tones and mid-tone wood accents, layering in textures that instantly elevated the space. In both the living and dining room, we added full-length curtains to soften the windows and a fabric light fixture for a subtle touch of coziness. Rounded forms in the coffee table, dining table, and lighting were chosen to ease the flow from one room to the next, while thin black accents provided contrast without overwhelming the design.

Green and natural hues, which were favorites of the clients, were woven throughout as accents to add a grounded, organic feel. The result is a balance of modern simplicity and approachable comfort. With the accompaniment of a refreshed kitchen renovation and new flooring, the interiors now come together as a cohesive, welcoming home that feels updated yet timeless.
