MEET SYDNEY KERN
My name is Sydney Kern and I am the owner and principal designer for Abide Home Styling. I’ve been styling spaces since I was young, rearranging my room about every six months! At the time, I didn’t realize how my simple hobby could evolve into a career where I could share my passion for beautiful spaces with others. After finishing my business degree, I began designing spaces for friends and family, including a renovation design project for my parent’s primary bedroom, bathroom and laundry room.
In 2021, I formally launched Abide, driven by my desire to help people create spaces they truly loved. After a few years of home staging and styling for clients, I further honed my skills under the guidance of the internationally recognized Interior Design Institute. I am thrilled to continue supporting my client’s dreams of making spaces for what is truly important in life. Throughout my journey, my husband Brodie and son have been my biggest cheerleaders.

Visual art and design have always been at my core! Growing up, you could often find me having drawing competitions, dreaming up ideas for my bedroom or staying at school late working on the yearbook. I believe that spaces have the potential to reflect your personality and lifestyle, as well as impact your overall well-being. SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE & DESIGN ASSISTANT
I am the cherry on the top of the business! Sometimes that means staying up too late building furniture, coming to drop off coffee for the team on install day or throwing some contrary opinions into the mix. I am also the resident tiebreaker for furniture selections that are too close to call.
